Mass Casuality Incident - Incident Command System (4 hours - Basic, Intermediate and Paramedic levels)

Objectives: To inform and update the EMT of all levels about the Incident Command System Structure utilized at an MCI. Also to review the County MCI plan.

The class participant will be able to:
Define the threshold of an incident/system. Identify and describe the 10 steps/functions of an MCI Operation. Identify and set up various components of the Incident Command System. Complete "on-paper" exercises utilizing the MCI Plan and ICS. Understand triage via the S-M-A-R-T Triage format.
