National EMS Week

EMS Week is always held the third full week in May. Each county EMS Committee organizes an Awards function to be held during this week. The banquets are held to recognize and honor emergency personnel. WMEMS Regional Save, Recognition and Meritorious Certificates are presented to awardees during the festivities. Emergency Nursing Series

Developed by the WMEMS Nursing Service Council, this progam is offered every other year. It is an extensive three part series geared toward emergency nursing. Each part is two days long. Lectures consist of chest pain, triage, shock, cisd, medical/legal considerations, infection control, neurological emergencies, domestic violence, hematologic & metabolic disorders, substance abuse, violence, suicide, taking the CEN exam, and much more. For more information, please call the WMEMS office (413) 586-6065 or email WMEMS@wmems.org
